It's pronounced as ba-wrong.The Baroung Prologue
5 Years Earlier… Rick sat in his basement lab working on building a new creation. A mess of computers sat along the walls, with a king-sized bed in the center of the room. Cables ran amok, and he was having a difficult time just getting to one computer, let alone all of them. Every time he went to a computer it seemed, he would become entangled and most likely trip onto the bed, but this didn’t deter him. In fact, it was a boost for his determination to get the experiment ready and give him a chance at fulfilling his goal. “Finally! It’s all ready to go!” he cried out as the last of the computers was booted and loaded it’s programming. At that moment, his sister walked down the stairs and looked over at him. “Oh? And what exactly is all ready to go? A mess? A fire hazard? Mom and Dad when they see what you’ve done down here?” She looked around. “And how on earth did you get all these computers?!” He just started typing commands into the keyboard for the Master Computer. “Simple. I borrowed them from classmates and friends.” he replied, not looking fazed or anything. He was too busy typing away to even think really about her. “ FRIENDS?! You of all people have got FRIENDS?!” Claire acted as if she was in total disbelief and shock. “These friends of yours, they wouldn’t be imaginary friends, would they?” That had gotten his complete attention for a moment. Turning to look at her, Rick scowled at his older sister. “No Claire. They aren’t imaginary. You’ve met them! Remember Raghu, Chris, Evan and David all came over last week?” Claire thought for a moment. “Oh yeah. So those are the friends you were talking about. Still, how did you manage to get the computers from other classmates? You’re only 9 for crying out loud.” Rick went back to typing away commands. “None of your business!” was his answer to that. Curious though, Claire hung around on the stairs. “So, what is all this supposed to be, exactly?” “A Dream Visualizer for the purpose of visualizing one’s dream in order to re-write the whole thing in order to ensure that the dreamis what you want it to be.” Claire looked over at Rick, completely dumbfounded. “What?” “It allows you to make a recording of your dream so that you can change it in real time or later on to whatever you want. In other words, you can change a nightmare into something wonderful, or vise versa.” “Whatever! I’m going to bed. Goodnight!” With that, she walked back up the stairs. Two minutes later, all was ready. Rick grabbed a bunch of wires, connecting them to electrodes on a helmet, which he then slipped on his head. “ Well, it’s now or never.” he thought. Turning off the lights and hitting the enter key, he proceeded to lie down on the bed and slowly allowed himself to drift off to sleep. It would be a night to live in the minds of many around the world, for years to come. His dream had started out peaceful as always, and the computers had begun recording it with no error ratio present. He has simply sitting down in the basement watching TV, when the TV would simply go haywire and a snowy screen appeared. A moment later, the screen brought up an image of a landscape, with a hill in the distance. Rick could see a small speck on the top of that hill, which the camera seemed to zoom in on. When he saw what it was, his body froze with fear in the dream. For many times had he seen this creature. Short, furry, with a round head and unmistakable eyes. Indeed, if the eyes hadn’t been visible, he might have mistook it for something else. But what manner of creature has eyes that are in a curved tear-shape? Especially with a deep voice from seemingly nowhere telling Rick that he has 30 seconds to flee, or he would be eaten alive. Well, you can imagine how even in the dream, Rick wanted to escape. So he quickly got up and started making his way over to the stairs, not tripping over any wires as in the dream, his computer set-up wasn’t there. Music started playing from the TV, as if helping countdown the time remaining that Rick had to live. The TV was clearly visible from the stairs, and he could see the eyes of that creature following him as he moved to the stairs and started climbing them. He reached the top, and turned. A keyboard had suddenly appeared at the bottom of the stairs. Rushing back down, he picked it up, and ran back up the stairs. Once again, he turned, this time to see a mouse there. Rushing back down, he grabbed the mouse and started his way back up the stairs. He was halfway up, when the song came to an end. Turning to look, he saw a quick flash as the screen went snowy again. But unlike the last time, he now was in dire trouble. For in an instant, what had been facing him through the TV, was now standing in front of his TV, looking right at him. The voice quickly rang out “Time’s Up!”, before it charged at him. It was at that moment that Rick managed to wake up with a jolt. Trying to catch his breath, he looked around and realized that it was just a nightmare, and that he was safe in bed. Or, he would have liked to believe that he was safe. Turning to look at the monitor on the master computer, something caught his attention. Looking outside a storm window in the top corner of the room, he could see that a thunderstorm had arrived. Getting carefully up and out of bed, he walked over to the computer. It was processing the information it has gathered from that dream, so he figured he’d try to re-write it into a nice dream for his memory. As he finished the instructions however, he failed to comprehend that being as exhausted as he apparently was mentally, he had somehow simply made it even more horrific a nightmare. Yet, that was a moot point now. For a bolt of lightning somehow had managed to enter the room and cross the tower which was serving a master computer, as well as the TV which had 2 computers sitting on top of it. As Rick went for cover, he failed to see that as the bolt changed direction from the tower to the TV, it seemed to have changed to a blackish tone of colour. Walking over to another computer, he noticed something odd. The dream, which was stored on each computer in segments in order to help processing, it seemed to have recovered all of it’s segments right before the master went offline due to the lightning strike. “ That’s odd.” he thought. In the next 4 hours, 428 people throughout Canada and the US were killed, as the creature which Rick had dreamed of, multiplied and ran through cable and satellite communications to find those who were awake, and could easily be eaten. It was the start of a war humanity couldn’t win without those willing to fight, and who had courage to do so in the face of death…

The Baroung Chapter One It had been 5 years since that night which started a war against monsters. Humanity was dwindling faster than it ever had before. 5 years earlier, just over 6 Billion inhabitants worldwide. Less then 1 million known to still be alive now. On what was once Lower Manhattan, a group of individuals had gathered for a very important meeting. KrisRix, WhipOfAlchemy, Megami33, MonkeygirlSMA, Benihime, Belldandy, Moonlight Knight, limeygirl714, Darkgargos, maxskate2001, Borinyukami, Judgement915, Kuro-chan, RememberJiraiya, CanadianEh, Badfoo, Crystal_Zoi, DinoHunterJ, Resa, Roll002, Starshine, PointImpact, BradenLovesSMA, and Ashestoashesjc all stood around a staff. Kris was getting somewhat impatient. “Where the hell is that damn InuKun?! He asked us to meet here, and yet he’s late! ‘Come Meet me at the old Manhattan site on the 1st at high noon.’ It’s 2:11 and he’s still not here!” Kris mentioned, getting more and more agitated by the minute. Grabbing the hilt of her Katana, she squeezed the handle. “Calm down Kris! Just calm down! Think Happy Thoughts. That’s right.” she said to herself as she started to control her breathing rate. Moonlight Knight looked at Belldandy next to him and gripped tighter onto his AK-47. “He probably has a good reason for being late.” Bell explained. After all, he did have to evade a checkpoint the Baroung had set up in the old town of Newark, where he sent us that message.” “Indeed, with the Baroung hunting our group constantly, we cannot afford to take chances. He said though that this was possibly an opportunity to strike back against them.” added Moonlight Knight. “Hence why I came. Those bastards took almost everything away from me!” They were suddenly interrupted, by a voice behind them. “You will all have a chance at revenge for what has been done in this world!” Turning, they saw InuKun standing there, removing the hood of his cloak. “I wish to apologize for the delay, however I needed to get some civilians out of harms way at a shelter which was compromised. Thankfully, none have been reported missing from the shelter, and they have been moved elsewhere for now. Though time is of the essence. We must not stay longer than needed. I fear the Baroung may find out soon about this place.” Heading over, Kris and WhipOfAlchemy scooted over to allow him past, where he placed his hand against the staff, which glowed a neon green as he chanted something in an old tongue, which then dropped into the floor. “It is good to see you all were able to come. Let us head to the lower chambers and discuss what needs to be discussed, and then move on.” At that moment, the ground shook, and the floor began dropping, like an elevator, into the core below. It was a long 2 minute trip to the bottom for some, but when the floor finally stopped moving, they stood before two large titanium doors. InuKun, KrisRix, WhipOfAlchemy, and Megami33 each inserted a key into a lock on the doors, whilst Moonlight Knight and BradenLovesSMA lifted a handle on either door. “Let this be the dawn of a future, bright with hope to all.” InuKun quickly said, before all four keys were turned in the locks, releasing the doors. Due to the risk of the Baroung, who traveled by electrical current waves, getting the chance to attack, the doors would have to be manually opened. Getting out of the way, they waited upon Moonlight Knight and BradenLovesSMA, who were cursing before heaving the doors. Now, one might suppose that such doors would be a challenge to open, but thanks to something rememberJiraiya had installed, they swung open with relative ease. The problem was that whilst Moonlight Knight remembered this, BradenLovesSMA had apparently forgotten. The left door, which BradenLovesSMA was operating, swung open with such force when he gave a hard tug, that the door squashed him against the cave wall. A few seconds later, the door swung back out, with BradenLovesSMA now seemingly pressed against the wall, flat. “Ow!” he said calmly, yet dejectedly. Fighting back the urge to laugh, Ashestoashesjc walked over and gently peeled him off the wall. “It’s okay buddy. You have done well.” Holding up a shaking arm, BradenLovesSMA smiled as he wobbled. “Still, at least I did my part for the country!” Ashestoashesjc looked at him with an odd expression. “What? You stayed in the City?” “Absolutely.” RememberJiraiya walked over. “If you two are quite done, we would like to get this meeting underway.” With that, he made his way inside and took a seat. After everyone had made their way inside, Moonlight Knight and InuKun, who dared not let BradenLovesSMA near the doors right now, gently brought them back to a full close as MonkeygirlSMA pulled the interior rods across to lock the door from the inside. Glowing moss reflected the interior well enough for everyone to see quite clearly. Standing at the head was of course KrisRix who had founded the organization known as SMA. A group of mercenaries who had banded together to free the world of the threat from the Baroung. “Welcome everyone. Well, since InuKun was the one who called us all here for this meeting, I guess the best thing right now is to let him explain what is going on.” InuKun, who was seated about halfway down on the left side for those facing into the room from the door, gently stood up. “Thank you Kris. As you know, for the past 5 years, we have been at the mercy more or less of the Baroung. We know not how they came into existence, but we do know this. They travel through electrical current waves, primarily those used for television and the internet. When they find a target, they somehow teleport out of the screen, and attack. Once the attack is complete, they retreat back through the screen. Beyond that unfortunately, very little is known about them. Or should I say, was known. Indeed, I think we may have a way of fighting back now. It will take time, I assure you all of that, but it we can do it, then we stand not only to be heroes, but the franchise rights to our actions will net us more fame and fortune then even our great-great-great-great-great grandchildren could ever hope to spend in their lifetimes.” Moonlight Knight and Badfoo both jumped. “TELL US!” they said in unison, both remembering what had happened to their families and friends. InuKun lowered his head and sighed, not quite sure about whether everyone was quite ready to hear it, but decided that given Moonlight Knight and Badfoo’s reaction, that he’d be best to tell everyone, before all hell broke loose in there. “Very well. Here is what I know.” (Or at least, what he was willing to say) “As you are all aware, the Baroung first appeared five years ago, and began the hunting spree that they have been on ever since. I say hunting spree because it seems to be a hunt for them, rather then just random killing, given the profiling that experts gave of them when they were first discovered.” He grabbed a paper document out of his sleeve. “I came across this a short while ago. It’s a letter describing a dream someone had many years ago, which might be of interest to everyone.” Kris scoffed. “Just how is such a letter going to be of value to us?! No offense, but that is the dumbest thing I’ve ever heard of in my life.” Belldandy and WhipOfAlchemy quickly told Kris to be quiet. InuKun looked at both Belldandy and WhipOfAlchemy for a quick second and raised his hand outward. “It’s alright. If she doesn’t wish to hear it, that’s fine. I’m not asking anyone to decide anything here.” Kris calmed down again, although part of her was still clearly annoyed at InuKun’s late arrival earlier. “No, it’s fine. Go ahead and read it, if you want to!” she replied, though harsh in her tone. “Well then, does anyone else wish to not hear this?” InuKun asked, and looked around. Whilst it was clear on the faces of several members that they felt they had better things to do then listen to something like this, they stayed their thoughts and didn’t show any interest in stopping InuKun. “Very well.” With a flick of his wrist, he opened up the letter and began to read it aloud after clearing his throat. September 1st, 1987
I find myself continuously perplexed at these recurring nightmares I have been having on an almost daily basis for the past 6 years, and yet I cannot find a way to explain them. It seems less and less likely that any significance can be seen by them, especially given the contents of the nightmares, but I find myself seeking answers none the less. Why am I having these dreams? What is the meaning behind said dreams? How come no one feels even the slightest bit sympathetic towards the dreams that I’ve been having, and insist that there is no meaning to them. I find myself being pressured daily into trying to forget those nightmares, and yet I find that I cannot. Here are a couple of examples of such dreams, still vivid in my mind, even if in some cases, such dreams happened far too long ago.
In the first example, I was 4 years old and indeed, it was about this time that the nightmares of this sort began to happen. I would be watching TV downstairs in the basement, and we had both a colour TV in the main room, and a small black and white TV in the study. Both TV’s were playing the same ending to Sesame Street, and after the main show ended, a special as it were, came on. In that special, two creatures somewhat identical to Cookie Monster, but with upturned edges to their eyes, appeared and started a contest. As contestants lost rounds, they were eaten. I couldn’t find myself being able to get away, because the TV in the main room, seemed to be having those characters watching me, to ensure I didn’t head for the stairs. At the end of the show, the creatures teleported themselves out of the television sets and proceeded to eat me. At that point, I had woken up.”Benihime looked up in horror, as if it was déjà vu to her, and both limeygirl714 and Crystal_Zoi appeared as if they were going to be sick with shock. However, InuKun continued without hesitation. ”In the second example, indeed, much more recent, I was heading up the stairs from the basement of our bungalow, when I looked back down to the bottom of the stairs and saw what appeared like a duck’s beak, but much larger, move into my sight. I rushed to my room and closed the door behind me, locking it and pressing my back against the door. Then, as if looking at myself in third-person, I watched as a meat hook came crashing through the wooden door and run up through me along my back, ripping ribs and all until it reached my skull and lifted me off the ground. Then the door blew open and a furry creature with a duck-style beak came into the room, and proceeded to eat my body, as blood poured onto the floor as a large puddle.”InuKun looked around to see that not only were Benihime, Limeygirl714 and Crystal_Zoi looking awful at this point, but so were Megami33, Belldandy, WhipOfAlchemy, BradenLovesSMA, Judgement915, and Resa. “I assume from your looks that though I haven’t finished, you all seem to be aware of something. Perhaps you all have experiences just like these?” Megami33 summed it up for everyone with a gentle nod. Indeed, she’d watched as her entire family had experienced such a horrific tragedy. “I must apologize for this but I figured it was important that you all know this.” He explained before continuing to read the letter. ”I was about to give up all hope, when something came to me in a dream a few nights ago. In that dream, I learned that such creatures, have a general weakness of their own. They are loyal to the one who controls them, so I dreamt that I managed to kill the one controlling them, and they all vanished as a result. But in order to discover who was controlling them, I would have to infiltrate their empire, and disguise myself as one of them. But how does one do that? It’s one thing to say you are willing to do such a thing, but it’s against the laws of physics to be capable of such a feat. Or so I thought. For last night, I managed to come up with a solution. Build a device that could record and rewrite dreams. It’s a risky challenge, but it should be a good one to undertake, regardless. I’ve decided to devote my time outside of school, to working on such a device, and hopefully have it all set up and ready within a few years, pending experimental set-backs. And I know now tat they will bleed, if it in the right spot, although I can’t remember the exact location. It might be under the right armpit, or it’s underneath the left ear about half an inch back. Still, I’m certain I’ll be able to pull this off, and be free of these dreams once and for all.”Lifting his head, InuKun looked around the room at everyone. “That is all there is of this letter. If there was more originally, it’s not there now.” He put the letter down and took a deep breath. “However, I do believe that we have something to go by know. And it seems that the author, seems to have struck a chord with at least some of those here in this room. So, for now, I’ll rest, since I want to hear other people’s opinions, as well as give this a chance to sink in with everyone.” Sitting back down, he grabbed his glass and poured some water into it, waiting to see just what everyone else would have to say on the matter. If nothing else, this would prove an interesting challenge to undertake, if everyone decided to give it a shot. “My only question though with the letter, would be his reason for doing all that, if the one controlling them in his dreams, was technically his own mind.” Judgement915 mentioned. “True, even I cannot say what the reason for that was, as I’m only reading the letter as it’s written.” In actuality, that was only the first half on the letter, but InuKun didn’t want to let anyone know the other part, for some reason. “So, what do we do?” Kris asked. “Find the “individual” who is controlling these things and kill them?! Are you retarded?! Whoever is controlling them must be heavily guarded. Besides, we don’t even know where they are! They could be anywhere!” Megami suddenly stuck her hand in Kris’ face. “Quiet! Listen! Do you hear something?” Everyone remained absolutely still as a faint sound was heard. It was like a soft scratching noise. InuKun looked at Darkgargos and Moonlight Knight, who both quickly stood up and walked over to the doors. A small shielded peep hole was there, and Dark quickly looked into it for only a brief second, before closing the cover again and slowly turning around. A cold sweat on his face. No one dared speak a word, nor move. The tension lasted for several moments as all eyes remained fixed on Dark’s expressionless face. Finally, Resa broke the silence with a quiet whisper. ”Well?” “There’s nothing out there that I can see.” he answered calmly. Everyone was rather tempted at that point to hit Dark for toying with them like that, however InuKun was still concerned about the noise, as was Megami, since they’d both noticed how the sound had gotten somewhat louder. “Everyone, stay quiet. It’s getting closer, whatever is making that noise.” Megami announced with fear and concern in her voice. Indeed, the sound continued to get louder and louder, until a look of fright was on every face which was looking at the doors. For it soon could be heard right outside the doors, just before it stopped. After a moment of silence, a dull knock was heard, as someone, or some thing knocked on those doors.

Chapter Two Um…What?! As the first round of knocks bellowed throughout the room, no one inside dared to even breathe. All eyes were fixed on the doors, save Dark, who was trembling nervously as he glanced over at InuKun, as if to ask “Do I really need to look again?” InuKun saw the expression on Dark’s face and quietly nodded, somehow guessing just from the expression, as to what Dark was questioning. “Great, just my luck!” he thought as he turned slowly towards the peep hole again. He hesitated for a moment, before the second wave of knocks could be heard from outside. After a quiet gulp, he closed his eyes and leaned forward, opening the shield before taking a deep breath and opening his eye to look through. On the other side, a pair of shadowy figures could be seen. At first, Dark thought they could be Baroung members, but then he saw a cherry blossom logo on both their arms, the logo of the Japanese counterpart of their alliance. With a sigh, he closed the peep hole once again and turned to face everyone. “It’s alright. It’s the Japanese group.” He said calmly, before turning to start pulling the bars away. Inu frowned. “Why would the Japanese Alliance be here?!” he wondered. Apparently, he wasn’t the only one who was suspicious. KrisRix pointed at Dark. “Dark, don’t release the bars just yet. We need proof that it’s really them.” Turning to WhipOfAlchemy, Kris continued. “Whip, what is the code word for the Japanese Alliance if visiting us?” Whip took out a pocket book and skimmed through it. “Let me see. Japan, Japan… Ah, here we are.” She paused as she looked at it for a moment in disbelief. “You have got to be kidding me!” Whip then said as the password registered in her mind. “What is it?” Kris asked. Not wanting to say it out loud, in case the individuals outside could hear, Whip showed Kris the entry in the book. “What kind of password is this?!” Kris yelled out. “This has got to be the stupidest password that I have ever heard in my entire life!!” As everyone returned their hands down from having covered their ears during the second half of that outbreak by KrisRix, Megami advised Kris to calm down and ask them for the password, no matter how stupid it may seem. Given that currently, only Kris and Whip knew the password, everyone couldn’t say for themselves just how bad a password it could be. “Fine!” Kris said sternly, before getting up out of the chair and walking over to the doors. Knocking back on the door, to let those on the outside know that people were there, Kris gave the opening to the password, to which the persons outside responded with their portions of the password. (Japanese team will be depicted in Red With KrisRix in Black.)“BLOODY, DAGGER; MY ONLY TRUE FRIENDS. OH CRUEL WORLD!”“WHAT WAS THAT?”(Singing and going through the motions) “I’M A LITTLE TEAPOT, SHORT AND STOUT!”“THAT’S GOOD FOR YOU. NOW LET ME TALK TO THE SANE PEOPLE IN ROOM.”Kris muttered something about killing whoever came up with this password. Roll002 and Maxskate2001 simply giggled softly in the background. “I’VE BEEN COMPLETELY USELESS THIS WHOLE EPISODE!””DO YOU HAVE SOMEONE WHO LOOKS AFTER YOU? CAN I SEE THEM PLEASE?"“I MADE AN ERIC!”“SPEAK ENGRISH!”With that last line, Kris knew that they were legit. “Open the doors for them Dark.” Dark then proceeded to open the doors slowly, as three individuals walked in, before he closed the doors again and locked then tight. They approached the gathering and bowed gracefully towards everyone as Darkgargos, KrisRix and Moonlight Knight returned to their seats. Each stood there in a hazmat outfit and as they removed their helmets, one of them looked to InuKun and bowed once again. InuKun returned the bow respectively, before clearing his throat. “So, to what do we owe the pleasure of your company today?” InuKun asked. “We come to join forces with you. Japan has been taken over. We only survivors from all Japan. It horrible. Baroung eliminate all of remaining Japanese resistance in under 5 hours.” The tall one commented whilst shaking over the mental images of what they had seen before leaving. “We were getting ready for a full evacuation, when they struck. In the confusion and chaos that followed, only we were able to get on one of the pods and escape. That was a month ago. We spent a week just sitting there, wondering what to do, when we remember that InuKun had built alliance in North America.” InuKun nodded, but was concerned about the obvious issue. Namely, how did the Japanese Alliance know about this meeting place, given that the only ones who should have known about the meeting were those already in attendance. As the Japanese members went to take their seats, InuKun held out his sword at the one in front. “Don’t move!” InuKun said in a rather commanding voice for one usually so quiet and timid. Everyone looked on in shock and disbelief. They couldn’t believe that InuKun was acting in such a manner. “Who are you?!” InuKun then asked more calmly. The Japanese Alliance were completely taken by surprise over what had just transpired. “What you mean?! You know who we are!” The Japanese Alliance were getting scared, as was everyone else in the North American Alliance. InuKun however didn’t waiver, and held firm. “I’ll ask you all again one more time. Who are you all, really?!” By this point, Megami33 had had enough of this and looked over to KrisRix and Darkgargos and motioned with her right hand to them that they should do something to stop InuKun’s actions. There was no telling what InuKun could do to the Japanese Alliance, or even perhaps everyone, at the moment. As KrisRix and Darkgargos slowly approached InuKun, PointImpact and limeygirl714 did the same from the other side. Surely four on one would be acceptable given the circumstances. When they were all but a foot away from InuKun, a question came from InuKun’s lips that stopped them in their tracks. A question that would seem sensible when thought of from a logical standpoint. “If you are who you claim to be, then how did you know about this meeting? ONLY members of the North American Alliance knew of this meeting, as it was only for members of said alliance!!!” The Japanese Alliance members showed a look of concern in their eyes, to which PointImpact drew back and exposed her fists, before taking on a fighting stance. Everyone else in the North American Alliance soon followed suit and prepared for the trouble they were seemingly in. The leader of the Japanese Alliance dropped his head and started laughing in a deeper voice than he’s been speaking in before. It started out soft, but slowly increased in volume until his laugh bellowed throughout the chamber. “Well done sir. I commend you on seeing through our disguise. But I’m afraid that you’re too late!” With that, the face deformed as the mouth opened up and was stretched over the entire head, allowing a furry head to become exposed. The rest of them followed in tandem and soon, what had been seen as the Japanese Alliance, were exposed as Baroung creatures of varying heights. “You see, we did intercept your message, and prepared for this showdown. Whilst the main forces know nothing about what is going on here, imagine how they’ll react when we tell them that not only did we have the chance to intercept a message of the North American Alliance, who were planning to overthrow the Baroung, but we also managed to get into their meeting and wipe them completely out. We’ll be heroes amongst all the Baroung forces. It was fortunate that we had this book of passwords that we found on a traveler in Japan. Otherwise, we’d have never been able to fool you all into allowing us in here.” InuKun continued to watch but didn’t move his sword away. “I shall commend you all for having intercepted the message and for showing up here, however my commendation ends there.” He said sternly. “You see, there is another reason as to why you raised my suspicion. If you really had been members of the Japanese Alliance and had travelled here in the mole unit that you were using, you would have melted long before you reached here, as you’ve have had to pass through an active underwater volcano in order to reach us.” As InuKun explained, Darkgargos, limeygirl714 and Megami33 shifted over to the left a little, hoping to try out a move they’d been discussing at a private meeting two months earlier. The tension in the air was thick, but not quite thick enough just yet to be able to cut it with a knife. No one now dared move, as everyone waited for the other side to strike a move against them. Although the North American Alliance clearly outnumbered the Baroung here, that wouldn’t mean very much against flesh eating creatures which were known to eat an adult human entirely (save bones) in under 5 seconds. All of the Baroung suddenly gave a rather toothy smile, baring knife-like razor teeth towards the Alliance members in the room, who whilst scared, were all putting on a brave face it seemed. It’s unclear as to whether it was Moonlight Knight suddenly having a sinus irritation which caused him to sneeze suddenly, or whether it was Crystal_Zoi knocking over a cup of water on the table, but suddenly, the Baroung moved forward, seemingly all trying to gang up on InuKun, who in return, was giving their teeth some unexpected dental work with his sword, all the while fighting to keep his limbs away from their jaws. PointImpact jumped into the fray with a strong upper cut to the leader, who stumbled backwards for a second, before regaining his footing. KrisRix and Whip suddenly exchanged a quick glance, before screaming “CHARGE!!!” As Alliance members started to team up on each of the Baroung, it seemed victory was more likely to be with them. Within a couple of minutes of the fight beginning, the Alliance had showed the upper hand, however, it would be very short lived. Far above, another member of that Baroung group was meeting with several key members of the Baroung forces in the old New York City area, and was informing them that the Alliance base had not only been discovered, but that the Alliance were there and ripe for taking out. She had been sent to see the Baroung officials by the pack leader who was also the one most keen in killing InuKun, regardless of what would happen to him in the long run. As she informed the officials, they grinned menacingly before summoning the entire armada from the eastern shores of North America. “Now we can have our revenge on him.” One of the officials mentioned softly whilst looking about the place. Once the armada was ready and accounted for, the order was given for them to have a pair of moles send down the shaft, a single portable television set, which the armada would use to teleport into the target location and do away with the Alliance resistance. The armada was prepared for its role in the battle ahead.
