Hey why not? There's all shows we gotta hate and we all gotta rant once in a while.
Some of mine Totally Spies, I think this show was trying to not only rip off Charlie's Angels but Sailor Moon by roping in young kids, boys with their slowly growing fancy of anything with a Vagina and girls with the fact of seeing role models they can look up to. In reality, it's nothing more then a bad mix of stereotypical preppy girls, horrible plot lines and bull shit. I wish I could sum up this piece of crap, but I had to try I'd say it makes me want to ram a flaming pitchfork through my brain.
Kim Possible, Disney may not have great programming but that's no excuse for this bullshit, the concept is stupid as shit, a Cheerleader fighting crime makes less sense then Mortal Kombat Annihilation, why anyone even watches it, beyond me
American Dragon Jake Long, Dear god shoot whoever made this...this is one Disney show I actually WANTED to see, as Dragons are awesome...this one is not, it's boring, stupid and most importantly had some white wannbe gansta as our hero, I had enough wannbe Gangsters in High School. To add to how much I hate this show it even changed it's art style to something less appealing then before. Therefore they basically puked on shit
Smallville, *sigh* They took Superman, one of the greatest and most famous heros ever...and put him in Dawson's Creek. I hate this show because you expect it to be like a Superboy kinda storyline, but NO it's 50 minutes of drama, 5 minutes of Superhero and 5 minutes of MORE drama! Also gotta love how they changed Lana Lang's story from being a red haired run of the mill girl into some Asian reincarnate of a witch, who gives a shit, now I'd have LESS problems with this except they reference the old Christoper Reeve movies as much as humanly possible so they should KNOW Lana lang wasn't the shit they made up, also Lex Luthor getting super powers? John Kent getting powers? Oh and apparently you can basically turn 360 and find Kryptonite in every direction in this town.
But enough of my rants, who else wants to rip open a show?

I'm always surprised when people say they hate Family Guy. Some of it is absolutely hilarious. Some of it isn't... but a lot of shows are like that...
My most hated show... all those frickin' reality shows... Jon and Kate Plus Eight, Little People, Big World, and probably 50 others that I don't remember the names of because I abhor TV so much... >.<

I hate every reality show ever created. No exceptions. These alone were the main reason I for the most part gave up on watching TV. I've heard that relative to other shows these are easier to make and are usually popular for some reason in which I can't explain, hence they keep making em. With these spreading on TV stations like AIDS on a puppy, there is even a less chance of a good quality show getting a chance. I would like to just write them off as a fad, but with how long they have been around, I'm thinking we're screwed for the long term.
I'll say MTV in general. Back in the 90s they actually showed videos and even had a few good shows outside of that. Of course they had awful ones ones too like "The Real World" or whatever you call it, but it generally had enough good stuff to keep me entertained for an afternoon. Now it's just reality shows and other shit I don't care about. Don't even get me started on their inability to actually show a music video. Not that it matters, because I probably wouldn't like the song anyway.
My last rant for today involves Comedy Central. Unlike MTV it still has some good shows, but too many awful ones are still being shown. The worse one being "Mind of Mencia". I'll admit one of his stand ups had a few funny parts (emphasis on the word few here). Most of his other comedy, including all of his show is completely awful and just plain unfunny. It relies on trying to shock people without putting any effort into actually being entertaining.
Another show that does this is "Drawn Together". More like the creators should be "Drawn and Quartered". Haha get it? If not then let me tell you that that is funnier than anything you would see on that show. "Let's make a show with as much shock value as "South Park" without the witty satire". I hope that show is canceled by now.
The Jeff Foxworthy type show...thing and "The Root of all Evil" I didn't like either. Well, the "Root of all Evil" isn't bad as it was disappointing. Lewis Black is one of my favorite comedians and I would like to see him do something better.
I have a few more grievances against the entertainment industry, but I think I already went on long enough. Until this post, I never realized how bitter I am as a person.

It's okay. Let it out. Those TV execs can't hold you down forever!
On that note, my friend found a hilarious comic of a TV executive watching TV. He says, "Wow! 600 channels and only two of them have crap on."
I laughed my ass off.

Family Guy is NOT hilarious. I think those two episodes of South Park explained my feelings towards Family Guy the best. That was one of those shows that got canceled and should have stayed that way (as opposed to say, Invader Zim or Futurama who are more than welcome to make a comeback anytime). newageretrohippie, I agree with your post...reality shows suck, MTV sucks (all it is is reality shows anyways), and Comedy Central with one or two exceptions...is headed down that road of suckitude as well. I agree, Mind of Mencia is just about the worst show ever made. I haven't found anything he's said that makes me laugh...he annoys the shit out of me. I'm pretty sure Drawn Together is cancelled, actually...but so is Reno911 I think (and I actually enjoyed that show).

I'd love to see Invader Zim come back ^^
And honestly, I don't think I know anyone who enjoys Mind of Mencia... o.o

Oh please I'd sooner take Big Brother over Smallville, fuck I'd enjoy watching the opening to the Superman Movie for an hour straight, and I'd sooner take Smallville then Bitch ass Spies, I swear I'd rather have Raye carve "SATAN RULES YOU!" Into my skull with a rusty carving knife while force feeding me shit, poking me with a red hot metal rod over broken glass with hungry wolfs then watch that show.
It's THAT bad...the characters are about as deep as as Sandman's spit, the plots are as interesting as brain tumors, and I swear the there's more plot holes in one episode then Sailor Moon had From Episode one to the last episode of the series as a whole.
...oh and I hate All Grown Up, I grew up on Rugrats, and they rape it by making them sterotypical teens...wonderful...just...wonderful...
Also X-Play, worst video game review show EVER, they basically have little actual review talent and focus rather on trying to fill time...Judgement Day was superior...and wasn't subliminally trying to get you to watch.

Oh goody, now I get write it all down again. Anyways, it's anything that is on: CW ABC Disney Cartoon Network (the old cartoon network was 1,000 times better) Nickelodeon MTV VH1 CBS
So yeah, I pretty much hate everything on any of those channel.

I liked the first 3 seasons of "Family Guy". It was dumb, but in a hilarious way. Haven't seen much of the newer episodes, so I can't comment on those. I really enjoyed the first episode of "Invader Zim". The next few episodes were decent too, but after those I just lost interest.
I have never sat down to watch "Smallville" but from what I've heard and seen in the commercials for it, it is beyond awful. Perhaps as you said, it is "reality TV show" bad. Generally any show that involves teenagers and drama is going to suck.
I did enjoy the earlier X-Plays, but yeah, now it's not worth watching. However, if you watch some of Adam Sessler's reviews that aren't put on the show, they are decent. The guy actually knows what he's talking about, it's just that the show has him act like a retarded monkey with untreated ADD for some reason.
Another channel I would like to discuss is Fox. Rather than go into a essay long tirade about it, I will keep it simple:
Dear Fox, Canceling Firefly? Seriously, WTF? Love, NewAge

Oh it's not JUST drama, every episode is some pale shell of what we like to call "Character Development" Only 2 of the characters actually matter later in the Superman series, Clark and Lex, Chloe should not exist, Lois had no point being there, and Lana Lang is made far more important then need be, she was Clark's High School love, that's it. Every character has had at least 10 episode about them.
Also I forgot to mention the cheesy ass Kryptonite plot hole, meaning if the antagonist is someone who Clark could beat by flicking his finger the person is SURROUNDED by Krypotonite, like this one example Clark had to save his friend from this girl who went from a fat average girl to hourglass fat sucking vampire from Krpotonite Milkshakes (sounds plausible already!) He goes after her, and walks RIGHT into her greenhouse FILLED with the green rocks, or when Clark had to stop an evil plastic surgeon (again riveting) but her gases are made from you guessed it Kryponite.
But what I GOTTA love is the villains, they're either A. Normal People, B. Rip offs of other super powered characters or C. the Obvious ones, the ones we expected but they just fucked up

I can't STAND Family Guy, it annoys the fuck out of me. Most people I know don't seem to understand that for some reason. Another show I can't stand is Drake and Josh. It seems like a phailed [yes, I did that on purpose] rip-off of Kenen and Kel, one of the greatest Nick shows ever. That's about it for me, at least that I can think of at the moment.

When it comes to Family Guy, I really think that you kind of have to watch only the highlights of an episode. Most of the funniest parts of the show have no context anyway. Breakfast Machine and the Chicken Fight come to mind. I agree that on the whole, the show is rather juvenile and stupid, but there is some funny stuff that when isolated from the rest of the show becomes hilarious ^^
And don't get me started on Fox... >.< What is it about TV programmers canceling anything that's actually good? I don't evenunderstand how they stay in business... >.>

I pretty much hate any teen show (i.e. One Tree Hill, Gossip Girl....wait that's pretty much CW) and reality TV. The only reality TV show I watched was The Apprentice and then it went downhill. I also hate shows like Desperate Housewives and Sex and the City, seriously do they have to have women as sexpots 24/7? But you know what I hate more than all of these types of shows combined?.......Spanish soap operas. Seriously these shows are so unrealistic and overly dramatic ugh I hate them.
