The admin didn't put in the Music subsection in the Entertainment section, so that's where this thread comes in...
My favorite music to listen to are mainstream '90s and pre-Y2K (2000-2004), Weird Al, and Daft Punk.
What are your favorites?

I'll listen to most music. I just don't like the majority of today's music.

Wow, there's a music thread and I completely missed that until now (chalk that up to me rarely having the time to venture out of the 'Anything Goes' forum)... My tastes, like a lot of people's, is all over the place. I know I dislike 98% of country (can't say I dislike it completely because there's always going to be a song that comes up that I wind up liking (i.e. Taylor Swift's "Should've Said No") and about 95% of rap (see previous reasoning). I also dislike most of what's on the radio today (considering it's all rap or some variation of it), so I don't listen to it a whole lot. I like very strange music.....music no one my age should like. Enya comes to mind. LOVE Enya. In that general field of music, I also enjoy Moby, Delirium (GOD, do I love Delirium), DJ Shadow (old DJ Shadow.....before he decided to go gangster and FORSAKE me ), and to a very weird extent, Deep Forest. I also love me some Fleetwood Mac and sadly, ABBA. That's right, I like ABBA. *hangs head* As for more modern things, well, recently I've been hung up on Blue October and Shiny Toy Guns. I also really liked Angels and Airwaves (the older CD "We Don't Need To Whisper" is SO much better than the new one), but I think they're pretty much done for now that Blink 182 is back together. Recently I purchased The Postal Service's CD "Give Up" which I enjoy the hell out of...but it's kind of an older CD. If I'm going to listen to pop music, I have to with Spectrum Warrior and go for the 90's. Weird Al is also amusing. Actually, the only concert I've ever been to in my life was a Weird Al concert....when I was 14. *laughs* Then again, not a whole lot of acts come to the Roanoke area because it sucks. In summary, pussy rock. I like pussy rock.

My music taste fits into a very small area. The one artist I listen to who is remotely new is Priscilla Ahn, although very few people know who she is. Her music is amazing, it makes me go all mellow. I also enjoy Feist, Anna Tsuchiya, and a few other artists. I used to be really into Evanescence but not so much anymore. And then I enjoy classical music, preferably Vivaldi. My iPod is dead right now so I can't look on it to see what's on it, but I only have like 118 songs on it.

hmm... like Animated said mostly... I like all kinds, but nothing recent My "favorite" would have to be 80's rock and anime music. nothing much past the 90's or today out-side of music or songs from Video-games The most recent song being "Snake Eater" from of course, Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater.

I listen mostly to Weird Al, other than that, I'd have to say Country. Most of the time, I don't see any other Weird Al fans anywhere else, I feel a little less outcast-ish(if that's even a word, which I doubt) here than I do anywhere else, even in the real world.

These days, I'm mostly listening to visual kei and anime stuff. Artists I like are the Beatles, Queen, Billy Idol, Lady Gaga, Malice Mizer, and Moi Dix Mois. I also like some stuff from musicals, but I say I'm pretty picky about my music.

I'll listen to pretty much anything; with the exception of rap, country, and heavy metal. I have very eclectic tastes.

I like classical music the best, but I listen to a wide variety of things. Besides classical I mostly listen to '60s rock, early punk and New Wave.
I also happen to be an ENORMOUS Beatles fan.

All kinds, but mostly pop and rock. I'm a sucker for 80's and 90's music too.

Lately I've really gotten into Cole Porter, Ennio Morricone and Tom Lehrer. All my life I've loved Danny Elfman, Billy Idol and Disney soundtracks. In middle school I was heavy into the early punk scene and high school was mostly Lemon Demon, They Might Be Giants and Logan Whitehurst.
