Heh. Well, Saturn and Neptune show up in one of the specials, in a manner that fuels fan speculation that Tokyo was placed in some sort of time-displacement bubble by the Dead Moon Circus. But that's another topic.

From ChibiJen's Twitter account...
FUSMii, I doubt my idea of a comic [on Page 5] is going to be comfortable in her mind. Unless she decides to open up a premium section. (Members Only!)

He'll promise the moon, the earth, the stars, but ask for some color and he'll give you scars.

hm? Which specific scenes are you referring to? Much delayed response: Ok, I assume you've seen the SuperS special with Uranus and Neptune, right? Well, first of all, they appear nowhere else in that season, but they show up here and in a place that does not appear to be Tokyo. Then, at the end, they speculate on the enemy they faced and conclude that the other senshi can take care of the Earth. This is a small thing, but those two are somewhere other than Tokyo and their decision to stay out of the way means they never tried to get back. It's more like it doesn't contradict that fan theory. Btw, the basis of that fan theory, iirc, centers around the fact that there are 2 total eclipses in the space of about a year (all 4 seasons of the year appear to pass in SuperS), but no one ever comments on this fact (note this does not happen in the manga), so maybe the first one never actually ended and Tokyo was time-displaced during that time. It would also explain why the Senshi, supposed to be either taking their entrance exams or going to high school, do neither for the duration of the season (again, the problem does not arise in the manga). ...But yes, good comics. On a different note, I've not heard Diamond referred to as Demand, even in the weird "English-to-Japanese-to-romanji" spellings some places use. Is that a typo? (Yes, I know, nitpicking).

This is pretty much how I always figured that scene played out.
On the 3rd panel Hotaru seems to really enjoy being kidnapped.
