This thread is WILDLY popular on my other forum so I figured I'd give it a try here....
My thought of the day is that I think Brodeur may be a God. Seriously, that man is needlessly talented. It's like he never got injured!! ;D
I guess that's an unfair thought to post because hockey is never a 'thought of the day' for me....it never leaves my mind, actually.
So, how 'bout it? What are you guys thinking?

My thought of the day is how strangely iTunes works.
Have any of you seen the movie "Quest for Camelot" (cartoon)? I didn't think so.
Well, I went on iTunes in hopes of downloading the entire album from the movie. For some ODD reason, the album wasn't there....but about five TRIBUTE albums were.
How the crap does that work out?
"We don't have the actual songs from the movie, but we have a bunch of random people singing them!"
They even have the movie itself for purchase! It doesn't help that the same situation exists for Anastasia too.

It doesn't help that the same situation exists for Anastasia too. *Knows the Lead Background Animator for Anastasia, who spent just over a year in Tuscon, AZ doing the animations, before returning to his home in Ottawa. (He's a good friend of my parents)* Why can't drivers in Fairfax County cannot drive properly when it starts to snow? If the speed limit is 55 MPH, they hit the brakes and move at 10-15 MPH, even though the snow is only dusting the road. They don't seem to comprehend that you can drive normally. The car is not going to loose control just because of a dusting when driven at speed.

Why can't drivers in Fairfax County cannot drive properly when it starts to snow? For the same reason they cannot in Rockingham County. ;D People in Virginia don't know how to handle snow...that's why they cancel school when the ground is dusted in it. Oh, how much snow did you get up there, BTW? We had about 6 inches and it was falling faster than I could shovel it off the sidewalks at work.

The storm on Sunday/Monday closed schools at 2 1/2 inches of snow on Monday along with a 2 hour delayed opening on Tuesday.

I think Harrisonburg is a much higher elevation than Fairfax though (hence, more snow) despite the fact that you're only 2 hours away...

I'm near (within 5 miles) the highest elevation in Fairfax County (the old dump at Exit 55 on I-66), and whatever the conditions are here, dictate what the status of schools will be county wide. Though for me, I'm more only 31 minutes away by my mode of transit from Harrisonburg. XD

Do you really want to discuss how the Islanders... I'm not even going to say it.
Guess they just love playing hockey on their fishing boats during the shift. They've got nets, and fish heads for pucks.

No, I don't want to discuss that 7-3 embarrassment the other night...or the 4-0 one that proceeded it. Hey, at least they beat Calgary last night although I WAS extremely disappointed that Brodeur let in that last goal to make it 3-2. Now for the Phoenix test....
I just find the fact that the Islanders alternate logo from back in the day is pretty much a reworking of the Gorton's fisherman with a hockey stick where the wheel of a ship should be. *laughs*

Yes, you will...tonight. And believe me, I'm PISSED they're not even showing the game on TV! Instead, motherf**king Comcast is broadcasting Flyers v.s. Wings. Who the HELL wants to see that? The Flyers are gonna get raped! I guess that what happens when Comcast owns a team...but they're not biased! No, not at all.

Well, you can always see if the hydraulic pumps on the zamboni fail, causing hydraulic fluid to spray onto the ice as the zamboni starts smoking, during which the crowd is entering the arena and all this 10 minutes before the puck was scheduled to get dropped.
Granted that last time, it was the Penguins who got hit, not the Flyers, but it's still something to entertain the crowd.

That hydraulic fluid looks like blood! 0_0 Hmm, if it happened to the Penguins, I hope that means they ran over effing Cindy Crosbaby and strewed his egotistical, whiny guts all over the ice!

Wooo! Double posting in my own thread! There is no greater shame! *laughs* My thought for today involves Killian's Irish Red beer. Okay, seriously, can't the Irish do ANYTHING right? All they did was take Guinness and make it red! Guinness tastes like earwax in a glass! I was SO upset I wasted my money on a six pack of that crap for St. Patrick's day (which BTW, I DIDN'T get to see my man break his record because the feed I had to the game switched over to the motherf**ING Penguins at 7:30. Seriously, I hope they don't make the playoffs. And if they do, I hope they're eliminated in the first round....by the Devils. )
